EVIDENCE REFERENCES:
You’ll find a section dedicated to this to help you find evidence-based information and to kickstart your own research journey.
This is a living library that will grow as we do. We hope it empowers you to walk your land with fresh eyes, honour traditional wisdom, and begin using gentle, plant-based support in your daily life.
I’ll be adding to this over time, let me know if you’d like anything added here.
NOTE FROM FEE:
While this index is predominantly focused on Aussie weeds and natives with medicinal powers, you’ll notice we’ve also included a handful of other herbs and plants that aren’t native — and here’s why:
- Many of these “extras” have naturalised in Australia, meaning they grow here just as abundantly as our local species.
- They’ve been used traditionally around the world for centuries, and because they’re easy to access here (whether in our gardens, paddocks, or health shops), it makes sense to include them.
- My goal is to give you a practical, well-rounded resource that you can actually use — not just a textbook of plants you might never find.
So, while the heart of this index is Australian weeds and bushland natives, you’ll find a few international all-stars sprinkled in. Because when it comes to building your home apothecary, what matters most is accessibility, safety, and knowledge you can put into practice right where you live.
